The program
Omnipresent (Momentum Media LLC, dba Omnipresent Marketing) makes the software behind one kind of text message: a review request, sent by a local service business to its own customer after a completed job.
Each business sends from its own toll-free number, verified by the carriers in that business's own legal name and used by that business alone. The sender is the business the customer hired. Every text names that business and carries "Powered by Omnipresent" or a link on omnipresent.app so the software behind it is identified.
Carrier verification of a new number takes weeks. Until it clears, a business sends its review requests by email only.
Review requests are the only texts this software sends. No promotional or marketing texts go out under it, and no one is texted who is not a customer of the business that added them.
How consent is collected
Consent is collected by the business, from its own customer, before anything is sent:
- The customer gives the business their mobile number at the time of service, on an intake form, estimate, invoice, or web form.
- That form carries a written disclosure saying the customer agrees to receive review request texts from that business, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, that STOP opts out, and that consent is not a condition of purchase. The exact wording is on the SMS consent page.
- When the business uploads or adds that customer, it confirms in writing that the customer gave this consent. I record the date of that attestation.
- Only then does a request go out.
Message frequency
Typically 1 to 3 messages per job: one request shortly after the job is marked complete, and up to two follow-ups a few days apart. Follow-ups stop as soon as the customer clicks the link or replies. Messages go out only during daytime hours in the customer's local time, inside the sending window the business sets. That window is stated on the business's own messaging page, linked from its texts.
Example message
Hi Chris, thanks for choosing Dale's Plumbing. Would you take 30 seconds to leave a quick review? https://www.omnipresent.app/r/abc123 Powered by Omnipresent. Reply STOP to opt out.
STOP and HELP
Reply STOP to any message to end all texts from that number. The opt-out takes effect immediately and you may receive one confirmation. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT all work.
Reply HELP for help, or email blake@omnipresent.app. You can also ask the business directly to remove you.
Text and email are handled separately. Replying STOP ends the texts. To stop the emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of them.
Carrier disclaimer
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Your data
Mobile numbers and consent records collected for this program are used only to send the review requests described here and to honor opt-outs. They are never sold, and they are never shared with third parties for those parties' own marketing. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
